- Rotating 28 hours and 56 hour fortnights
We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our team and provide support to a client in the Rosewood area.
Your role is to provide the support of a quadriplegic's needs and choices so he can live the life he wants to. Working closely with the client in his own home, you will assist with a wide range of quite personal daily activities, such as:
- Transferring in and out of bed, chairs, and providing other mobility assistance.
- Showering.
- Grooming, shaving, and skin care.
- Toileting, including changing catheter bags, and supporting bowel care.
- Community access.
- Housework, meal preparation, and other light domestic assistance.
Support Works must be:
- Emotionally aware, resilient and responsive the the changing needs of the client.
- Sensitive and adaptable to the client's personality and moods.
- Genuine and reliable workers with inherent integrity and respect for the client's individual choices.
- Respect the client's privacy and maintain strict Confidentiality.
- Have a current driver licence.
- Be capable of doing a physically demanding role - you will be lifting, bending carrying, crouching, driving, and working in restricted spaces such as shower stall, bathrooms, and other parts of the client's home.
You will also need to confirm your availability in a Cover Letter.
Comprehensive training and initial guidance supplied.
Shifts range from 4 hours to 8 hours up to 56 hours a fortnight.
Penalty Rates for weekends, nights, and public holidays will make a real difference in your pay packet.
