We have partnered with a statutory organisation of community and family services support within New South Wales. They are a very well-established organisation with significant experience in the Community and Family sector which focus on providing specialist services to a very high standard. The organisation also strongly encourages children and family autonomy and greater involvement in the community.
About the role
The Mental Health Clinician will apply therapeutic interventions on a multi-faceted level through the use of specialist services within the community to promote greater quality of life for children and families. The Mental Health Clinician will also have proven experience in understanding social and cultural impacts in families, be responsible for implementing best practice models and following through with care plans personally, and work with children and youth of complex mental health origins. The Mental Health Clinician will also be active in clinical management, treatment and also clinical activities within your team.

The applicant must have:
- Psychologist with full registration/ Occupational Therapist with full registration / Social Worker with Social Workers membership
- Experience in working with children aged up to 15 years old
- Established knowledge and experience in child and adolescent development
- Strong understanding on the impact of family and child trauma
- Ensure best practices are in line with children and family framework
- Work in a team as well as autonomously
- Exceptional written, verbal and communication skills
- Proficiency with report writing and literacy with computers essential
- Strong analytic skills
- Database management and clinical documentation record keeping skills
- A current driver’s license and willing to do some travel
- A current working with children check
- ChildStory check
- National Police check
