The position

This role is a genuine opportunity to help shape the culture and direction of a community-based organisation, making a real difference in people's lives.

Reporting directly to the CEO as part of the senior leadership team, this role will ensure core administrative functions are performed in alignment with ECHO's strategic plan and the five key dimensions of our balanced scorecard:

  • Customers
  • People
  • Finance
  • Internal process
  • Innovation & growth.

The role is offered as a full-time, permanent contract. ECHO is committed to flexible working and may be willing to negotiate an alternative solution with the right candidate, within the operational requirements of the role.

Requirements

This role will suit a super-organised admin ninja, who is comfortable with lots of different types of technology, has a flair for PR and marketing, and who is great at getting the best out of other people through influence and coaching.

The ability to read people's minds and anticipate what's needed before they even think of it is not essential, but would be highly regarded.

The role will suit a dynamic professional with relevant skills / experience in the following:

Essential:

  • Diploma in business, finance or associated field and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in quality systems and processes
  • Experience in internal and/or external audit and accreditation processes
  • Above average interpersonal and communication skills - our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes through influence
  • Excellent problem solving, judgement and decision making
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, flexible and agile, manage time effectively and set priorities under pressure to meet the demands of the job
  • Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel

Desirable:

  • Ability to draft content for stakeholder communications
  • Desktop publishing ability

The successful applicant must have a current driver's licence and will be required to provide or obtain a current police clearance.
