Noweyung Limited is a not-for-profit organisation providing disability-related services in East Gippsland since 1954. We are on a journey from individually-linked Government funding packages to consumer-directed fee-for-service transactions through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We are seeking a senior manager who can rapidly become an integral part of our team and help lead the transition to NDIS. Clear, positive, proactive thinking is expected, as is the capacity to contribute to the culture of the organisation. Our driving vision is for East Gippsland communities where people with disabilities are valued and make a meaningful contribution. We work towards our participants leading great lives.
The position is crucial to Noweyung and will provide leadership, support and assistance in ensuring Noweyung makes a positive and healthy transition to the NDIS. The successful applicant will bring drive, self-motivation, resilience, a focus on the development and growth of people, an orientation towards communicating with participants, families and stakeholders, while having an eye for detail and a capacity to negotiate agreements in a positive and supportive manner. You will have an understanding of the Victorian and National Disability Standards and demonstrate the capacity to work with our staff in complying with and enhancing our understanding of these Standards across our operations. You will be familiar with Client Management Systems and not be fearful of learning another one.
Noweyung has some flexibility with this role and is willing to discuss part-time or full-time options.
The position is located in Bairnsdale, the main commercial town in East Gippsland. The region is one of exceptional beauty, recreational opportunities, welcoming communities, great food and wine. The snowfields are “up the road” and Melbourne is a 3.5 hour drive or train trip. Housing is very affordable, sensational beaches, lakes and waterways are on your doorstep.
