TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Nursing, Aged Care and/or Health to join our team of teachers on a part time casual basis on the North Coast.

The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

If you have…

  1. a) Degree, Diploma or equivalent acceptable for registrations as a Nurse with current certificate to practice with AHPRA, or b) Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Aged Care, Allied Health or Social Science
  2. Minimum two years recent relevant industry experience or equivalent in associated field or profession within the last five years
  3. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or its successor and/or a Diploma in VET or Adult Education
  4. The desire to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence

Selection Criteria:

  4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
  5. High level written and oral communication skills in English and Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments.
  6. Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment.
  8. Proven strengths in problem solving and change management.
