Teacher - Early Childhood and Primary General - Lockhart State School Welcome to Lockhart State School Lockhart State School is a very remote Indigenous school catering for approximately 140 students from Pre-Prep to Year 12. Our students are keen learners with considerable sporting abilities and strong cultural ties to communities across the Cape and beyond. All of our students are EAL/D learners and are fluent in Lockhart Language which is the traditional language of the area. At Lockhart we make a strong commitment to achieve and exceed the learning goals of all of our students especially in the areas of reading, spelling and mathematics. Our school fosters strong connections with community and culture, embedding local culture and traditions into the curriculum by connecting Elders and other agencies in the community to ensure all students are exposed to their history, culture and languages. The successful candidate will be teaching Pre-Prep 15hours a week so a qualification in Early Childhood Education is essential.
