Trainers / Assessors- Leadership and Management
Orange International College is a private provider of VET and ELICOS courses located in Melbourne CBD. It delivers Vocational Education Training courses at various Australian Qualification Framework levels in addition to English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students.
The college is seeking self-motivated trainers with a passion to pass on the business industry skills & knowledge to the aspiring learners and to deliver and assess the following courses:
- BSB51915 - Diploma of Leadership and Management
- BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
The following are the requirements to apply for this role:
Qualifications and Experience:
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Meet Industry currency and Professional development requirements as per SRTO Clause 1.13 - 1.16
- Sound knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training System including SRTO 2015 Standards, ESOS Act and National Code
- Current Working with Children Check and willing to undertake a National Police check
- At least 5 years' industry experience
- Experience in the implementation of training programs in line with Training Package requirements
- Experience in the development of learning and assessment resources and validation
- Demonstrated competence in the facilitation of both group and individual learning
- Proven and effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven competence in a range of information technology applications, particularly Microsoft Office suite of products

- Good Communication & Interpersonal skills
- Passionate and enthusiastic educator
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills/abilities
- The right attitude and personality to build and maintain rapport and trust with students
- Demonstrated ability to establish, build and maintain relationships
- Ability and willingness to encourage and inspire people to achieve goals
Desirable:
- Experience working with both Domestic and International students.
- Current first aid certificate
- National Police Clearance certificate
- Proven ability to develop training and assessment strategies (TAS's) to meet training package requirements
- Weekend availability
- WiseNet (Student Management System) and Google Classroom (Learning Management System) experience
Trainers and Assessor Duties include:
- Delivering and assessing the units of competencies within the program
- In conjunction with student support services and RTO Manager, ensuring appropriate course progress
- Maintenance and submission of accurate and reliable assessment records for all students
- Reviewing and improving training delivery, assessment processes, and assessment tools.
