About the Business:

Pinnacle Safety and Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), and nationwide industry leader in the provision of safety training and related safety services.

We aim to help our clients improve their safety results, meet their work health and safety obligations, develop their safety culture, and most importantly, keep their people safe.

We are responsible for delivering safety training to 40,000 people annually, making us Australia's foremost safety training company in our areas of expertise.

We train a range of nationally recognised safety-related competencies in the areas of height safety, confined space entry, fire safety, mine safety, rescue and emergency response and work health and safety.

 

About the Role:

An opportunity has become available for an experienced professional to join the team as the Regional Manager (VIC). This is an integral role within the national team to promote, support and manage the client service delivery in Victoria. 

Based out of Port Melbourne, your commercial business skills, ability to gain respect with your team, overcome daily challenges and build strong stakeholder relationships will be paramount along with your previous experience managing a team of trainers, administrators and technicians.

You will be responsible for upholding the current culture of pride in our quality of training, responsiveness to our clients, and the passion every one of our staff has for the vision of our company.

 

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for:

  • Developing key stakeholder relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensuring professional leadership is demonstrated to motivate staff, foster enthusiasm, innovation and implement performance management strategies when required
  • Providing regional leadership and management of a large, dynamic team across Pinnacle facility in Melbourne
  • Cultivating a high performance, professional and engaged workforce through ongoing internal initiatives, as well as ongoing recruitment activities
  • Project-managing all service work and major projects
  • Ensuring facility and asset management is undertaken in a structured manner
  • Maximising productivity through innovation and efficient allocation of resources
  • Proactive collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients to enhance customer relationships, build a strong reputation and brand and create opportunities to achieve growth
  • Managing a state-wide operational budget, while ensuring operational capacity to assist Business Development Managers achieve revenue targets

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Proven HR capability: strong people management skills, and solid experience in performance management
  • Solution-focused decision making skills
  • Excellent planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of delivering results
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A strong understanding of how Registered Training Organisations operate
  • Passion for safety and training and been in a trainer and assessor role
  • Strong understanding of the VET sector and the ability to coach trainers to explore and expand their facilitation techniques
  • Strategic management and workforce planning capabilities
