They use Australian raw materials to ensure the finest quality production. Together with their own production, they are one of the leading distributors of a range of packaging, catering and restroom supplies.
  
The major focus of this role is to manage and optimise the manufacturing flow of all processes, including scheduling, ordering raw materials and managing finished goods.  To maintain production output within agreed limits. Provide managerial, administrative and technical leadership to staff.  Key responsibilities include:  
  • Oversee all manufacturing activities for the business.
  • Optimise and maintain inventory levels within agreed limits.
  • Optimise and maintain custom print lead times within agreed limits.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure agreed service levels are maintained.
  • Develop and prepare KPI reports for manufacturing-related activities.
  • Be pro-active in the identification and evaluation of technology & equipment that may improve any operational aspect of manufacturing.
  • Provide supervision and direction for the roles and personal development of Floor Manager, Printers, Mechanics, Operators and administration.
  • Maintain a positive and motivated workforce.
  • Develop and implement structured reporting.
  • Develop and maintain optimised procedures and processes.
  • Develop and maintain a safe workplace
  • Prepare and manage overall budgets including capital expenditure.  
Previous experience in a manufacturing leadership role within a paper, printing or mechanical background, together with experience mentoring and developing up and coming leaders, would be ideal. The successful candidate will have solid people management and communication skills together with proven ability to improve manufacturing processes and lead projects.
