ABOUT THE COMPANY:
ABD Poultry is an Australian owned family business that has been supplying high quality chicken and other poultry products for over 25years. ABD Poultry is located in Hemmant which is about a 20 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
ABD Poultry is seeking drivers to deliver chicken and poultry products to our valued customers on time. This is not a pallet on, forklift pallet off, job. Product must be physically unloaded and delivered to our customers. Therefore the applicant must possess a sound level of fitness and be able to lift up to 22kg. This is a casual position which requires you to work from Monday to Friday starting from 6:30am onwards. Work hours will usually be 7 to 8 hours per day and the average number of deliveries will vary from 25 to 35 per day.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Must be able to do deliveries in a timely manner;
- Must possess a current Medium Rigid (MR) or higher truck licence.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have truck driving experience along with an excellent driving record;
- Must have a good geographical knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas;
- Must be well groomed and presented;
- Honesty is essential as there is some cash handling involved;
- Must have good communication and customer service skills;
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm and courteous when dealing with difficult customers;
- Must be an early starter who likes to be active;
- Must be self-motivated with an excellent work ethic;
- Must have a sense of urgency;
- Must be punctual and reliable;
- Be fit and healthy, with the ability to be able to perform repetitive manual lifting;
- Must have the ability to follow directions and also think for yourself;
- Must be able to work independently; and
- Must be a permanent resident of Australia or have no work restrictions on current Visa.
