We require an experienced MC Driver to join our team here at Semi Trailer Sales.
This is a position located in Central Victoria (Bendigo) and an opportunity for you to grow, gain experience and secure a future in our organisation.
We need an experienced, sensible, safe and committed MC driver now. Being a Semi Trailer Business, we are constantly trying to update stock to keep up with sales. Your role as our driver is to deliver the empty sold trailers interstate and pick up our new stock from around Australia. This will include loading trailers, double stacking, chaining and securing the load with single, B Double and Road Train work Australia wide. We will have a prime mover allocated, which you will take care of as if it was your own.
We require a highly skilled driver who has experience within a busy Transport Industry and can provide qualifications to match. Initially, this role will be casual and depending on performance will be offered permanency. It is preferred to employ our staff locally in the Central Victorian Region.
Applicants must have the ability to determine the following:
-A current MC licence,
-Experience with B Double and Road Train,
-Recent interstate truck driving experience,
-Managing pick-ups and deliveries and ensuring they are completed on time,
-Ability to work ongoing,
-A good attitude and reliability,
-A disciplined approach to the delivery of business objectives,
-Be confident with loading and chaining equipment whenever necessary,
-Be willing to drive interstate as well as locally,
-Be able to work independently,
-Use initiative to solve problems that may arise at pickups and on the road. E.g. Flat/blown tyres, replace broken air fittings/wiring,
-Presenting the truck to a HIGH standard at all times.
You will be required to be accredited with Maintenance Management and Fatigue Management. Previous experience/accreditations are preferred but are not essential. If you are successful with an interview, you are required to provide a driving history report, two references from recent positions and the successful applicants will have to provide a current medical from their GP before the start of employment.
