Seeking a Fright Allocator / Scheduler to join a busy transport company in Smithfield.

The role is responsible for allocating transport jobs to drivers and external carriers, handling customer enquiries, and coordinating their activities to maximize efficiency and effective utilization of resources, whilst maintaining a high focus on safety and compliance of the fleet. This role would suit someone looking for a career through an entry role into transport management role.

Afternoon Shift : 12pm to 9pm

Location: Chullora

• Allocate and assign driver runs using Transport Management System to meet KPIs and customer requirements
• Communicate with drivers, customers and vendors to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries
• Organise transport for intrastate on-forwarding including sub-contractors or third-party service providers.
• Provide reporting to managers on resource availability and requirements
• Investigate and report on deliveries, complaints and requests, and provide feedback and appropriate corrective actions to resolve transit issues
• Review, check and ensure all relevant paperwork is submitted for invoicing and payroll purposes
• Experience within a 3rd Party Warehouse environment would be preferred 

• A very sound understanding of the Sydney region
• Able to allocate deliveries/pick up’s in the most efficient and cost-effective way without compromising service.
• Sound computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), ability to learn new systems quickly
• Ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment
• Personal resilience. Able to sustain a high level of energy and positivity whilst under pressure
