Reporting to the Head of Procurement ANZ, we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to be based in our North Ryde head office.
 
The purpose of this role is to support the business through the efficient and effective operation of the purchasing function.
 
The Role:
 
  • Identification of suitable suppliers, contract development and contract negotiation through to the ongoing management of the supplier relationships
  • Develop and implement improved purchasing processes and procedures to ensure efficient purchase of goods and services at the best overall value
  • Assist internal customers to define and prioritise their business requirements and negotiate with suppliers
  • Establish preferred suppliers and a supplier management program
  • Develop, implement and manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Tenders using global systems such as Ariba
  • Analyse purchasing spend via analysis and exception reporting
  • Communicate, influence and assist staff to implement opportunities that reduce costs, improve value, quality and service
  • Develop and implement category management strategies
  • Perform commodity market analysis and evaluate suppliers
  • Maintain the Contract Management System
  • Support business with the vendor and procurement systems
  • Support the Commercial Division with travel bookings
     
What you will have:
 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement
  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business or Management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in end-to-end management of RFP/RFQs
  • Able to negotiate between internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have a "can-do" attitude
  • Demonstrated history of achieving cost savings across different categories
  • Experience with contract management and commercial terms
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Capacity to show initiative and can work autonomously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analysis and decision-making skills
