The role
We have two current opportunities for Transport Planners to join the team at our Kewdale distribution centre (DC). Reporting to the Senior Transport Planner you will work with a variety of key stakeholders to optimise transport plans and ensure they meet within the agreed timeframes.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- demonstrated experience in executing end to end processes within the transport industry that is transferable to a warehousing environment.
- previous experience with transport routing in a dynamic and complex supply chain.
- experience with transport planning and execution systems
- relevant degree, diploma or tertiary education
- intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- maintain the daily transport planning process to aid despatch to ensure Delivery on Time (DOT) to stores in line with set KPI’s
- execute the daily transport schedules and ensure timely adjustments are made to improve schedules where required
- undertake data analysis to provide information and reports that support timely decision making and the cost effective allocation of resources
- provide transport KPI’s and reports for internal and external stakeholders
