people2people are collaborating with an iconic Telco company who pride themselves on quality, training and innovation. They are currently looking for an IT Procurement Manager in Macquarie Park/Ryde area on an initial 6 month assignment with further extension for the right candidate.

THE ROLE

As the IT Procurement manager, you will drive the sourcing and procurement process, whilst ensuring compliance with Corporate Procurement Processes:

• You will contribute and be the subject matter expert for the IT Procurement Sourcing plan for the company
• Conduct IT procurement activities using processes and systems already in place and proposing improvements to these systems
• Liaise with other business unit procurement teams to ensure best practice
• Recommend commercial negotiation strategies and terms to achieve a favourable outcome
• Managing communications with both suppliers and internal stakeholders and completing commercial evaluations
• Develop briefing and approval papers for new contracts and contract renewals
• Input and maintain all IT agreements 

ABOUT YOU

To be eligible for this role you must:

• Have a Bachelor degree in business, commerce, accounting or law
• Strong experience in IT procurement, preferably within a Telco or IT environment
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal)
