IPM is a leading Work Health and Safety consultancy company based in Hobart. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Work Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant to join our professional team.
This full-time role is responsible for providing WHS related consulting and training including audits, investigations, general risk consulting, and WHS system development, review and improvement.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and switched on new team member who would enjoy our collaborative, innovative, professional and supportive work environment. The role is both autonomous and team-based; working with IPM clients in a wide range of industries and visiting workplaces in all parts of Tasmania and periodically on the mainland.

Essential skills and experience:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g. Health Science; Work Health and Safety; Science);
- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct WHS audits, assessments and investigations;
- Ability to present and deliver engaging WHS training programs to meet specific needs of a wide variety of clients;
- Proven workplace WHS practical experience, preferably across a variety of industries;
- Comprehensive WHS legislative knowledge;
- WHS procedural/system development capabilities;
- Ability to identify, assess and make recommendations to control workplace hazards;
- Display high level organisational, project and time management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to communicate information effectively, persuasively and professionally;
- A full current Manual Australian Car Driver's licence;
- Demonstrate pride in being professional in our relationships, communication, personal presentation, ethics, language and value;
- Working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, customer database, project management.
Desirable qualifications:
- Relevant Training qualification (Cert 4 TAE);
- Occupational Health and Safety training and experience (e.g. Diploma of OHS; equivalent or higher level);
- Previous relevant consulting and project management experience. Will have a strong grounding as a professional in WHS.
