The role

In this role you will be responsible for managing trading risks, the team’s daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables in the planning & trading space, ensuring the delivery of key insights to help drive business performance performance.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • a CA/CPA qualification
  • the ability to distil and effectively communicate complex information to a broad range of audience
  • strong commercial and analytical skills to support understanding of key business performance drivers, and raise recommendations on actions required to improve performance
  • strong influencing  skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • an understanding of retail dynamics and passion for retail
  • strong attention to detail
  • experience of leading and developing small to medium sized teams
  • solid system skills, TM1 and BIW a preference 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • drive insightful, forward focussed discussions, recommendations and actions on Supermarkets and Business Units levels to improve short and medium term trade and highlight potential trading risks and opportunities
  • lead preparation of all daily, weekly, periodic projections and discussions on results, with context on short and medium term planned performances for the Supermarkets business
  • support Business Units and Finance leaderships in understanding trade drivers with both concise and relevant insights, and detailed deep dive analysis as required
  • deliver process improvements within the team’s deliverables
