One of our clients based at Greenacre, is looking for a Part Time Project Manager Community Work Group to join their busy team for 6 months.
Project overview: Manage program of works, reporting and scheduling of Community Work Group and Sub-groups for the Community Safety Directorate:
1. Community + Built Environment Research
2. Campaigns + Communication, and
3. Demonstrating Value.
The recently launched + Plus Plan is the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) organisational strategy for the next five years. Seven immediate priorities have been identified, as follows:
1. Safety + Wellbeing
2. Risk Reduction
3. Enhancing Response Capabilities
4. Training
5. Communication
6. Reducing Red Tape and Bureaucracy, and
7. Inclusive workplace.
At the forefront of fire safety, prevention and education programs is the Community Safety Directorate.
The purpose of Community Safety is to support FRNSW to “Reduce Community Risk Through Prevention + Education”. The Directorate will aim to achieve this by creating a safer community that is resilient to emergency situations, working in close collaboration with other Directorates guided by the Plus + Plan Strategy.
The successful candidate will:
1. Support Sponsor, Chair and Sub-group Chairs
2. Manage programs and ensure on-time delivery of projects
3. Co-ordinate with internal and external project stakeholders, particularly FRNSW
4. Project Management Office
5. Act as Secretariat for the Community Working Group and Sub-groups, and
6. Report on project performance.
