About the role:



This role is integral in identifying, analysing, recommending and implementing process and technology solutions that drive strategic improvements to member experience, operational efficiency and cost improvement for Insurance.


Responsibilities:


• Develop a deep understanding of the Insurance value chain and current and emerging customer needs and pain points
• Build relationships within the Insurtech community and knowledge of potential solutions
• In collaboration with internal stakeholders, recommend solutions to strategic business process problems, focussed on member experience, operational efficiency and cost improvement, including business case development
• Recommend and implement internal frameworks, processes and tools for use in ‘Lean’ business improvement
• Implement initiatives to drive business improvement maturity across Insurance
• Work with key stakeholders to utilise data to demonstrate value added through business improvement initiatives and benefit realisation
• Analyse reports to uncover future trends and areas of opportunity for business improvement
• Provide mentoring, feedback and coaching to ensure all team members utilise defined frameworks and Lean methodologies to deliver effective outcomes



What you need:



The role will appeal to a highly experienced Business Improvement Specialist with a passion for delivering innovative improvements, ensuring RAA Insurance continues to provide leading edge customer solutions.



You will be energetic and resilient, with proven experience in leading collaborative projects, as this role will work closely with both internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery.



You must have a passion for seeing projects through from inception through to implementation, with no fear of getting deep into the detail.



Specific skills and experience include:



• Highly developed Business Improvement skills and proven experience using Lean methodologies in a wide range of business improvement applications
• Lean Green Belt and minimum 5 years’ experience practicing Lean principles is essential, but Black Belt accreditation would be highly beneficial
• Substantial leadership experience providing technical advice and support with a particular focus on mentoring and training in the use of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is mandatory
• Ability to provide strong and effective leadership and to mentor others in Lean principles and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to maintain effective relationships and to use communication skills to influence others and drive acceptance of change.
• An open and consultative communication style that takes the views and interests of others into account
• An ability to work autonomously and with limited direction and manage a degree of ambiguity
• Experience in project management is desired
• Tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience is desired
