Our Watch is a national, independent not for profit organisation established in 2013 to drive nationwide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children. Our vision is an Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence. Our mandate is to stop violence before it happens, and our purpose is to provide national leadership to prevent all forms of violence against women and their children. Our work is based on sound research and strong and diverse partnerships. 

About the role:

An exciting opportunity now exists to be a part of the Our Watch Policy team, driving the development of new and emerging policy positions. This position will lead our work on understanding the links between violence against women, and the construction, performances and defence of masculine identities and practice in the Australian context. This role will also take the lead on a cross-functional project team collaborating with advisors from our Media and Communications, and Practice Leadership Teams.

Our Watch is open to job share and flexible working arrangements. We would also support a secondment arrangement and the opportunity for knowledge and skills exchange this provides with other organisations.

About you:

You will have strong research and writing skills, project management experience, stakeholder engagement and partnership skills. Understanding and experience working with policy and research issues relating to masculinities, and a commitment to social justice and gender equality.
