This extensive program of reform will deliver on a best practice future state design for this organisation’s supply chain, supported by S4/HANA functionality. In this role you will ensure that the supply chain function businesses realises optimal benefits from the SAP digital platform in terms of business and analytical capabilities.

The Supply Chain Reform Lead is a key senior role within the PMO undertaking very high profile, complex, high impact projects of substantial scope including implementation of the S/4HANA financial management system and improving the way purchasing functions are undertaken state-wide. The primary focus is leading initiatives to reform purchasing business operating models and business processes, particularly in context of S/4HANA and Ariba implementation across the organisation purchasing functions. The Supply Chain Reform Lead also leads strategy for improving customer service and customer experience during purchase of goods and services.

Key capabilities, knowledge and Experience should include:

  • Demonstrated capability to successfully lead the effective, large scale implementation of a complex system in a complex environment, including related reform to business models and business processes (preferably S/4HANA and Ariba in a purchasing and supply context).
  • Demonstrated industry experience in managing complex, fast moving supply chain.
  • Excellent understanding of the inter-relationships between purchasing functions with other functions in a complex procurement and supply chain system.
  • Ability to develop and nurture key relationships with a collaborative approach to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
  • Very highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, stakeholder engagement and change advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, the capacity to exercise sound judgement and the ability to develop creative and innovative, and commercially-focused solutions to complex problems.
  • Practical experience with customer-centric Lean methodologies would be highly regarded.
