Pantoro Limited is an ASX listed emerging gold producer currently ramping up production at the highly prospective and high grade Nicolsons Find operation located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Pantoro Limited (ASX: PNR) is one of Australia’s newest gold producers with its 100% owned Nicolsons Gold Mine now in production. Nicolsons is part of the Halls Creek Gold Project in the Kimberly Region of Western Australia. The project provides the company with a platform for growth through the operation of its first producing gold asset, which includes an existing high-grade Mineral Resource and a 200,000 tonne per annum processing plant at the Nicolsons Mine. Pantoro is the sole manager of the project through its wholly owned subsidiary Halls Creek Mining Pty Ltd.
Nicolsons is Pantoro’s key project which went from acquisition to development in under 16 months. Pantoro has also commenced development of its second underground mining operation below the nearby existing Wagtail open pits. Regional exploration in the underexplored 100% owned tenement package has delivered exciting initial results.
We currently have an opportunity for a Mine Foreman looking for opportunities to broaden and build on their mining experience through exposure to different mining applications. This role provides the opportunity to lead and execute the functional aspects of the underground operations including mine planning, mine development / production and mine projects. We are looking for a highly motivated, value driven individual that will be a good team fit and contribute to the continued success and growth of the Halls Creek Mining operations.
The role is offered on a 12:9 FIFO roster ex Perth / Darwin or Broome. The operation has excellent camp facilities in the Halls Creek town.
The primary purpose of the role is to direct and execute underground mine designs, plans and schedules to ensure the operations deliver budgeted production whilst ensuring the safety and quality in the workplace. The role involves an active daily interaction/liaison with the Underground Shift Supervisors and crews, Engineering, Geology and Survey teams as well as site contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the underground operational team including contractors to deliver the mine plans and schedules including coaching, mentoring and performance management
- Monitor and track production activities to ensure short to medium term schedules are achieved.
- Assist in the effective control of production related costs by optimising the use of allocated resources, mining to plan and reporting any alterations / amendments.
Qualifications, Skills and other requirements of the Role
- Possess WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 15 years mining experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Experience in narrow vein underground metalliferous mining would be preferred.
- Ability to work within a small team, sharing workload, assisting others.
- Good communication skills.
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Legal right to work within Australia.
Practical/Specialist Skills/Ability
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Excel and Word) ideal but not essential
