Principal – Opencut Asset Management– Brisbane Corporate Office
The Principal – Opencut Asset Management role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced mining Asset Management professional to join Anglo American Metallurgical Coal’s Technical department
Reporting to the Manager Asset Management, the role of Principal Open Cut Asset Management is to support and provide advice to sustain and improve the Open Cut asset management function across the Open Cut operating sites in Australia by developing technical, financial, governance, and operational excellence.
The Principal Open Cut Asset Management supports the Manager Asset Management in the Coal Business Unit by ensuring global benchmark performance of systems, processes and capabilities in the asset management and engineering areas. This will deliver a performance step change and benchmark operational and business performance across the Coal Business Unit
To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and will have held Operational leadership positions in Engineering and or Maintenance. You will have extensive Opencut Maintenance and Systems experience gained across a number of mining operations and will have a demonstrated ability to apply technology and innovation to drive improvements in operational performance.
The successful incumbent will possess a high level of critical strategic thinking, planning and complex problem solving skills. Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills will also be key to your success in the role.
A very competitive salary package is on offer for this position. This is a Monday to Friday position based in the Brisbane Corporate Office, but will require regular travel to our operations.
