As an ASX 200 and perennial high performing mining services business, Mineral Resources Limited (MRL) has and continues to develop a world-class portfolio of mining operations, mining services and greenfield projects. To ensure we meet the ongoing opportunities and challenges associated with growth, we are currently seeking a Mining Engineer - Projects to join the Mine Planning team based in Applecross.
Reporting to the Principal Mine Improvement, your main responsibilities will include;
- Leading improvement projects in our mining operations
- Support operations readiness planning for new sites
- Monitoring performance against Time Usage Model to identify gaps and propose improvements
- Optimising haulage network and road designs to maximise fleet productivity, improve tyre life and reduce cost
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary level qualifications in geoscience or engineering or similar
- A minimum of 5+ years open cut mining in operations and technical services
- Exposure to structured improvement methods and systems
- Building a case for change and implementing improvement initiatives
Ideally we are seeking a well orgainsed individual with the ability to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, possess strong communications skills and have the ability to draw meaning from large sets of data. You will be naturally curious and self-motivated to learn about the MRL business. Able to lead change is required.
