Ernest Henry Mining is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for the Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance Department.

Reporting to the Superintendent Underground Electrical Fixed Plant, the primary function will be to:

Provide technical support and guidance, ensuring electrical safety and compliance to the relevant standards/regulations;
Lead a team providing Electrical Engineering support to maintenance and operational departments;
Work collaboratively within a multidiscipline team to identify, implement and facilitate plant improvement projects and capital works.

The ideal applicant should possess:

A proactive attitude toward safety and procedural compliance;
Electrical Engineering degree with 7+ years post graduate experience (RPEQ preferred);
Heavy industry or mining experience preferred;
Project and change management experience in a brownfield operation;
Strong communication and leadership skills;
Knowledge of Plant Control Systems including SCADA, PLC’s, Instrumentation, VSD’s, and industrial networking (Experience with Cisco IOS and VMWare would be highly regarded);
Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Acts and Regulations;
Logical thinker with the ability to solve problems and have the tenacity to work until a solution is found.

This position is offered as locally based in Cloncurry (application preference, local allowances, company housing, vehicle and relocation assitance provided), DIDO from Mount Isa or FIFO from Townsville or Cairns.
