We are looking for a Rail Track Maintainer to maintain the railway track on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster. Dayshift & Nightshift. This role is open for Karratha locals and FIFO from Perth.
The Opportunity:
What the role entails:
This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to safety to be part of a collaborative team. Reporting to the Crew Leader, you will be:
• Re-railing, resurfacing, sleeper changes and other associated tasks to do with track maintenance
• Reporting faults to supervision as identified
• Comply with health and safety requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure
• Experience Operating Rail Maintenance Machinery - Tamper, Regulator, Tie Inserter (Gemco), Loaders, HIAB, Hi-Rail Excavators
• Experience working with Hand Tools
• Experience working with Timber Sleepers
• Experience working in a hot environment
It will also be beneficial if you have:
• Aluminothermy Welding Ticket (Thermit)
• Experience with rolling stock failures, maintenance and derailment recovery.
Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol.
