We are seeking a diverse and talented individuals to take on the role of Technician Mechanical at our Area C Mine.

Your duties will include:

Carrying out checks on equipment as required
Accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
Ensure compliance to the 1SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the 1SAP system, including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders to a high standard and in a timely matter
Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the 1SAP process
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of corrective work and determining priorities when required to facilitate the planning process
Ensure returns of unused or reparable materials are processed accurately
Validate quality of work performed by 3rd parties and the related service entry sheets
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required

As the successful candidate you will ideally possess the following:

Heavy Vehicle or Light Vehicle Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification with a minimum 2 years Post Trade Experience in either discipline
C and HR Driver’s License
Forklift Licence - Desirable
EWP, Working at Heights, CV (Hiab), CN (Non Slewing Crane), Dogman
Confined Space - Desirable
Ability to work closely in a team environment
Strong computer skills – using Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Excel
2 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role, with experience in a large scale mining operation is preferential

Location

With this role, you will be fly in fly out from Perth to Mining Area C on an 2/1 roster. Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms north west of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis court, basketball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
