WesTrac are offering the following Apprenticeships for commencement in February 2019:
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic – Mobile Equipment (Perth Based)
- Automotive Electrician - (Perth Based)
- Boilermaker – (Perth Based)
- 1st Class Machinist – (Perth Based)
- Fitter Machinist – (Perth Based)
Applicants should be aware that this position may involve the rostering of successful apprentices throughout regional areas on fly in, fly out and/or drive in, drive out rosters across different shift patterns which may include weekend or public holidays.
The competition for our apprenticeship placements is strong; to ensure that you have the best chance of securing one of these opportunities, please ensure you carefully read the below criteria.
Essential Criteria:
- Successful Completion of Year 12
- Own reliable transport to work at the Metro sites, plus able to work remotely (FI/FO or DI/DO)
- Demonstrated work experience in Trade Sector and/or pre-apprenticeship/Cert II pathway aligned to chosen trade
- Ability to undertake a role working a minimum of 8 hours per day for the 5 days on 2 day off roster & up to 12 hours when working a 2 weeks on 1 week off mixed day / night roster.
