We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented professional to manage Kambala's events. The position is a 12-month temporary full time position commencing in September 2018 to cover parental leave.

Preference will be given to suitable applicants with qualifications and experience in successfully building and managing events in a school environment.

Responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Organise and coordinate events including: whole school, KPA, Boarding, and Old Girls events.
  • Coordinate and give assistance to other staff in the organisation of smaller events.
  • All administrative responsibilities related to managing events and maintain records.
  • Coordinate marketing tasks in conjunction with the communications and marketing team.
  • Ongoing evaluation of events.
  • Oversee and coordinate the marketing function and develop new non-media based marketing initiatives such as:
    • activities, programs and initiatives which help fulfil the Strategic Plan and promote the School
    • face-to-face opportunities
    • memorabilia
  • Other duties as required.

We are looking for a manager who:

  • has the ability to provide effective leadership, work independently and as part of a team
  • can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills
  • will be an outstanding developer and administrator of events
  • has strong ICT skills in an administrative setting
  • has an aptitude for innovative approaches, with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under pressure
  • has a natural rapport with staff, students and the community
  • will support the academic and pastoral care programs at the school
  • will actively support the ethos of this Anglican Independent School
  • has a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
