Dynamic digital data science and tech firm is seeking a Communications /Media Relations Advisor to join their dynamic team to cover a short term contract. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this broad role will see you responsible for developing and delivering internal and external communications and pitching stories to the media. You will write media releases, media pitches and look after media liaison by taking media enquiries and briefing spokespeople and coordinating media interviews with spokespeople and speakers and booth operators from the business. You will look after internal communications and draft the internal newsletter as well as draft copy for various websites. You will provide communications support, liaise with the external agencies and assist with any other project work as required. 

Tertiary qualified in communications or a relevant field, you will present with a strong background in communications, excellent writing skills and previous experience dealing with senior stakeholders at all levels. You will have proven experience in a similar role, ideally have experience working in-house or in an agency environment, Previous exposure working within tech, science, government or a business/startup environment will be highly regarded, however candidates with a broad background across consumer or corporate will be considered.
You possess a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal, be comfortable managing conflicting projects within tight time frames and a have a pro-active approach with the ability to hit the ground running.
