This newly created role will head up the marketing team in the pharmacy brands/OTC division of a large, impressive and high profile Australian group which boasts market leading brands across many categories in grocery and pharmacy channels. They also have an expanding international footprint covering North America, Asia, China and the UK/Europe. Role location: Sydney north
You will head up marketing for the well established pharmacy/OTC brands division which has been growing steadily for many years and is a significant profit contributor to the business. The time however has come to drive a program of expansion and growth and your appointment will have responsibility for the strategic planning and execution behind this program. There are tremendous opportunities for growth through NPD, licensing and possible acquisitions and the company will encourage you to take an innovative/blue sky approach to all of this. You report into the Divisional GM, have a SBM and BM reporting to you and you are working in a business environment which is fast faced and entrepreneurial.
This would be a wonderful career step opportunity for a driven, experienced SBM who has managed marketing people and is ready to take on more responsibility. You could also be at MM level currently and looking to work in a company where you have more influence and can genuinely shape the future. Important will be prior experience marketing consumer health/OTC brands, a knowledge of the associated regulatory and health claims environment and experience managing people. We are also looking for NPD/new product launch experience and for this organisation, culture match is very important. We need someone who can drive growth, think outside the square and will thrive in a role which offers autonomy, responsibility, visibility and ownership.
