The Product Manager for PA & BMH will be responsible for executing on the product strategy to increase profitability in the business while setting up the product line to grow consistently in the future.
This role will initially focus on the rationalization process to effectively assess our current products, make decisions on the direction of these products and then execute on the plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Product Manager’s and Marketing Mangers to complete detailed assessments of our current products, make decisions on the future of the products and then execute on the product plans.
- Write effective business cases to get approval to invest in the development of our current products to ensure they remain modern.
- Ensure a series of upgrades and new features to continue to drive revenue and profitability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Track the success of the project through key metrics.
- Develop training material and sales tools to allow the effective sale of the new offerings.
- Manage the product development cycles with other key functional leaders.
- Complete financial analysis and forecasts.
- Work on VOC and internal feedback projects.
- Develop and execute on product obsolescence processes.
- Developing regular communications with our customers to keep them informed of the process.
- Work with the sales teams to drive upgrades or new product sales to these customers.
- Work with the operations and aftermarket teams to plan the obsolescence process and ensure we can continue to support our installed base for the designated period.
- Follow the Practical Process Improvement process using the 8-step method of PDSA to continuously improve processes, including the supply chain.
- Liaise with all customers, consultants and internal Thermo Fisher Scientific stakeholders.
- Liaise closely with the vertical market leadership, sales managers, project managers/engineers, key account managers, product line businesses and R&D manager/supervisors to assist with the achievement of sale/project timelines and quality.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor in business, management or marketing.
- 2 years in a marketing or customer related role.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong work ethics.
- Experience working in a large company colleagues based remotely.
- Experience working with a global customer base.
- Experience writing & presenting business cases.
