Innovative Hiring is the Gold Coast's premium solution to event hire, servicing the entire Queensland market. To expand our brand reputation and market share we are looking for an experienced account manager who understands the industry and its stakeholders to join our small but growing team.

The successful candidate must have experience in the events industry, be sales driven and want to work fast paced environment . The sales based role will include assisting clients in selecting premium event hire equipment, administering quotes, and putting together design concepts through floor plans and mood boards. Within this position the applicant will be working closely with our small sales and operations team, and wider national sales team.

This role is a 3 month temporary contract with the potential to extend into a permanent full time role for the right candidate. As a representative of the Innovative Hiring brand it is essential to develop in depth knowledge of the company's product, internal processes, and procedures.

Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities;

  • Liaise with clients on event details and hire equipment requirements while displaying outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure accurate and timely response of quote and booking requests.
  • Offer event design concepts, floor plans and mood boards utilising new and existing product ranges.
  • Perform site visits, client meetings and host clients in the showroom as required.
  • Increase job profitability through sales techniques and efficiency in administering quotes and information.
  • Provide daily / weekly / monthly reporting back to senior management

Requirements of this role;

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales or similar role within the events industry, clearly displaying skills in time management and creativity.
  • Display ability to identify targets and convert business opportunities, leads and sales.
  • Be a team player who can guide and assist team members to achieve team targets, while also being self-disciplined and motivated to achieve and strive for individual targets.
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of IT & Communication skills, capability to work with varying computer programs, and ability to develop new skills.
  • Offer practical solutions, strive in high pressure environments and adopt company procedures and processes.
  • Previous Event Hire, event or hospitality industry experience is essential to apply for this role.
