About the role
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director and based at our Asia Pacific head office, this position is responsible for developing products and solutions that appeal to retail consumers and developing strong relationships with key retailers. Working closely with the Retail Sales Manager – AU/NZ, this role will drive sales revenue and maximise profitability within the retail channel.
Accountabilities include:
- Identifying, assessing and sourcing of products for the Australian & NZ retail markets
- Development and execution of launch plans for new products
- Product (volume) forecasting within the retail channel
- Initiating the creation of product specific assets (images, videos, descriptions) and mange content for eCommerce platforms
- Providing product expertise to enable effective marketing launches, fitting instructions and training materials
- Supporting sourcing initiatives with local purchasing, U.S. Product Managers and the Asian Supply Office (ASO) to reduce product costs.
Key requirements include:
- A successful track record of new product development and product management
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail practices and proven experience working in the automotive aftermarket and/or retail leisure sector
- Competencies in retail product management, involving detailed financial product forecasts, margin and cost analysis, currencies, rebates, etc.
- A solid understanding of international purchasing, sourcing and project management
- A strong skillset in presenting information utilising Microsoft suite of products
- Technical awareness of towing systems and trailer componentry
- Qualifications in Business/Commerce or equivalent
