The Role
The Insights team for the Australian and Style Group are looking for a motivated Junior Insights Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Insights Manager you will be contributing to the generation of insights and data in order to support the sales team in order to support the sales teams of titles such as The Australian, GQ and Vogue . The role involves using a suite of insights tools, including; emmaTM, Adobe Analytics, Adex, Nielsen, IBIS World amongst others. Whilst experience with these tools are not required we are looking for someone who has basic/intermediate excel skills. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn with a passion for the world of insights.
You will be required to:
- Gather, analyse and distribute media intelligence and competitor analysis
- Run data from various sources and distribute data to various teams
- Prepare data for strategic sales proposals and brief responses as requested
- Provide analysis and create presentation material/collateral in line with company expectations for data requests
- Monitor the relevance, accuracy and presentation of research data to ensure the sales department is maximising advertising revenue opportunities.
The Person
To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Ability to multi-task many different projects at any one time whilst working to strict deadlines and under pressure to meet the desired end results for the business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly developed Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel skills
- Ability to learn quickly
