This is a full-time role but for an exceptionally capable and experienced candidate, flexible hours will be entertained. Working from home 1-2 days per week will also be considered.

Salary range: $170-200k package.

 

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mid cap financial services organisation with over 1000 employees Australia wide. 

Our client is knee deep in the Royal Commission whilst also recently appointing a new head of department. The team is well heeled to steer the ship through murky waters but due to an internal appointment, there's a spot open for an additional team member looking to focus their craft on a substantive writing role. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role sits within the Group Communications team (adjoined to the wider Public Affairs Group) and headed by a new manager. You will work with 3 other peers (all with different but complementary remits) on speech writing and strategic corporate communications.

Strategic advice and input will be sought from this appointee but the role is heavily focussed on writing for the CEO. A split of roughly 20% strategy and 80% writing would be fair. 

ABOUT YOU

An exceptional writer with extensive speech writing experience in corporate or government. You will also be known for exercising sound judgment and possessing an ability to distill complexity into simplicity. Your experience will include writing for a range of audiences from board level to customers.

You will be focussed but known for your ease of manner and willingness to contribute to a wider team effort. 

You do not need to have worked in financial services but you will need to have demonstrated an aptitude for writing in a range of voices without heavy editing.
