Permanent, full-time position
Location: This is a district-wide position primarily based in Nelson Hospital, but with responsibility in Wairau Hospital, Blenheim.
Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is the main health service provider for New Zealand's Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions, serving nearly 145,000 people across two hospitals, public health and a range of community services.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our district-wide Endoscopy service. You will be responsible for providing the nursing contribution within the national bowel cancer screening service, delivering specialist evidence-based advice, care, support and expertise, both in directing patient care and alongside staff, delivering services to patients.
Key requirements for this Senior Registered Nurse position include the following
Essential:
- A minimum of five years clinical expertise within endoscopy in tertiary or secondary care
- A current Expert level PDRP portfolio
- A post-graduate nursing qualification, or working towards a clinical masters of nursing
- Advanced nursing practice skill, knowledge and capability - evidenced through participation in service and care planning within multidisciplinary teams of professionals, focused on effective delivery of care to this specialised client group
- Proven leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills integral to continuity of service delivery
- Good time management skills and ability to manage work in a planned and coordinated manner
- A current full driver's licence with no endorsements.
