The role:
- Keep accurate and up to date employee records
- Create and maintain payroll information in PayGlobal
- Processing weekly payroll within required deadlines
- Review and auditing of time sheet and pay data
- Preparation of various plant reports as required
Although the main function of this role will be processing of the payroll for seasonal staff, there will be other office based functions including preparing reports and assisting with accounts and managing incoming calls.
The person:
- Knowledge of PayGlobal would be an advantage but not essential
- Some knowledge of NZ payroll and employment legislation would also be advantageous but is not essential
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- A methodical approach to work and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills
- Initiative and common sense approach to problem solving
- Able to maintain a friendly, professional manner with other staff members
- A reasonable degree of numeracy
The role is integral to the administration team and provides an opportunity to really make a difference to the success of the plant.
Experience in a similar role is preferred, however most important is your strong attention to detail and outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
