Your Impact

We are on the look-out for customer service and administration professionals to make a positive impact on our business, and as a Business Services Officer (BSO) you will do just that. We have a range of Monday to Friday opportunities available based within our Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Procurement, Master Data, Accounts Receivable, Employee Services, Operational Buyer and Credit Business Service Officer Teams - so there’s sure to be something that takes your interest!

Located in our Hamilton offices, day to day you’ll be supporting a variety of internal and external stakeholders with general administrative and technical support as well as exceptional customer service. Investigating issues and problem solving will be part of your daily schedule, so you’ll need to be able to think on your feet and be confident making decisions in a high pressure environment.

With many of a BSO’s responsibilities based within the finance space, accuracy and integrity of all data entered will be crucial. High levels of precision will also hold you in good stead when completing tasks such as receipting and allocating customer payments, providing advice, reconciling key accounts, creating purchase orders, processing payroll or working with journals and general ledgers.

As a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, you’ll not only deliver on tight Service Level Standards and offer a high quality and efficient level of customer service to the business, you’ll also support your colleagues, participate in team work and actively take part in team discussions driving ongoing Continuous Improvement initiatives.

About You

You will be managing high volumes in these roles, so strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload effectively are crucial for success. Based in an ever changing environment, your ability to learn quickly and work proactively will be very beneficial.

You can come from a variety of backgrounds and we welcome expression of interests from graduates and people with hands-on work experience. A strong customer service mind-set with proven problem solving experience will set you apart from the rest. Additionally intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills and excellent time management and prioritisation skills are crucial to your success.

About Us

Fonterra’s Global Business Services (GBS) function brings together work related to financial and HR transactions such as accounts payable and receivables, cash management, master data management, procurement support, payroll, and accounting services into a single centralised function. GBS’s main hub is based in Hamilton, with a second office recently established in Malaysia to support Fonterra’s Asian markets.
