About the Role

The YMCA HR team is looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to join our team as an HR Administrator.  This role forms an integral part of the HR team providing administrative support including but not limited to the following duties:

  • Coordinate and support the full breadth of our recruitment processes as required (including job ad loading on various platforms, police vet submission and management)
  • Enter and maintain all necessary data into HR/Payroll systems
  • Assist with preparation for external audits
  • Carry out internal audits and compliance checks
  • Support staff survey and reward systems

    You may also be involved with other relevant events/meetings and project work in both the HR and head office support areas.

     

For this support role you will need to be action orientated and display strong organisational and administration skills with speedy, accurate data entry ability. You will be computer savvy with Microsoft database management experience and you will have the ability to learn new programmes quickly. You will have the capability to follow procedures and direction and you will have refined attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative. The ability to maintain confidentiality of information is paramount.

Board support – one late evening (generally finish around 7pm) per month and coordination of Board papers, taking of minutes at meeting, typing and distribution.

You will have a minimum of 2 years New Zealand administration experience and you will have clear written and spoken English. Experience in the HR field would be an advantage.
