With a focus on delivering operational excellence, we are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our award winning technology team. Your key focus will be on managing relationships with a portfolio of suppliers and negotiating contracts to the best advantage of Auckland Transport.

Due to the complexity of our varied business needs, we are pursuing a professional with a minimum of 4-7 years' experience relating to contract and/or commercial law. We are looking for candidates who worked in procurement and/or commercial roles or worked as an in-house counsel or in private practice.

To strengthen your application, you will demonstrate experience in:

• Contract negotiations;
• Influencing and negotiating, internally and externally at all levels;
• Commercial analysis;
• Drafting contracts (including Master Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Licensing and Subscription Agreements, and Statements of Work);
• Engaging, managing and satisfying stakeholders across all levels;
• Understanding customer needs, with a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations through successful delivery; and
• Confidence working between public and private sectors with an astute understanding of how to achieve collective outcomes.

You will be a natural influencer, able to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for AT as well as key stakeholders and able to deal with challenging situations in a swift and professional manner.
