Our client in Auckland is a well reputed international organisation within the electronics hi-tech industry.  They are specialists at designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing their unique electronic products that contain superior technology critical for their industry.
 
They are now looking for a dynamic, practical and creative Senior Software Developer with C/C++ experience to join their software team and to work on various projects in the development of software specifically for high end embedded platforms. You will assist in creating software architectures and designs and will be using your expertise with object oriented techniques to provide robust systems with a strong user focus.  You’ll also assist in creating system architecture and complex designs.  You’re someone who has the passion and interest in technology, strong planning and organisational skills and the experience of tracking and delivering quality software projects to meet set budgets and deadlines. 
 
The skills and experience we are ideally looking for are: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Engineering or similar
• A minimum of 5 years plus recent commercial experience developing in C or C++ is essential
• At least 5 years commercial experience developing software for embedded systems (embedded Linux) is required
• Experience with UI design and UI implementation is essential
• Up to date knowledge of embedded software techniques and technologies
• Strong knowledge and experience with C/C++ and OO principles is essential
• Android development experience with NDK, React Native, QT or QML would be highly desired
• Experience having worked with consumer electronics is required
• Team players with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to help and mentoring less experienced developers
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• The drive and ability to solve complex problems
