We have rebuilt our operating model from the ground up to ensure we get in step with modern working practices, create effective cross functional teams, allow for scalability and flexibility, and to position us for current needs and the future. As part of this we're also on an agile transformation and now we need you!

What's this role about?

This role sits in the new Development Practice reporting into the People and Practice leader for development and provides an opportunity for a broadly experienced, self-starting SQL developer. Mostly you'll be working on our Data Staging platform which is a 24/7 tier 1 business system. This platform is the data hub for the bank's information sharing amongst its own and external business applications. The data is acquired into and sent from the Staging environment (SQL Server database) in formats such as file based and direct DB links. The remit of the platform is to share and consolidate business data for other systems to support their day to day activities and running of the bank.

• As you will be working as part of co-located team across Auckland and Wellington you'll be comfortable working as part of a team well as able to work independently
• You'll love helping to solve complex business problems, you'll likely have a solid background in SQL development and be ready to take your career to the next level; or you could be a master who enjoys mentoring and coaching others to reach your superhero status!
• We'd love to hear about your skills in MS SQL Server fundamentals (SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, triggers, functions) and TFS, VB.NET and Perl
• If you've got experience or a keen interest in working in an agile environment then this role is for you

This role is based in our flash new offices in Auckland city, so hanging out here with your team mates won't be a hassle.
