FX Trade Floor Support Engineer, FIX, Linux, Oracle, SQL, Bloomberg, Reuters, FX

My client is a leading Investment Bank based in Wellington (New Zealand) are currently seeking a Senior Level Trade Floor Support to work in its growing technical support & development team. This is a permanent opportunity with the role operating within FX trading team who have a very strong reputation within the business. A good understanding of FX products, exposure to pricing and dealing is essential for this role. 

To be successful for the role you must have the essential criteria:

- Investment Bank or Hedge Fund work experience front office trade floor support
- Strong Linux, Unix, SQL Server, Oracle and or Sybase, FIX Protocol
- Strong Scripting 
- Solid support background with Algo / HFT platforms 
- Database config, operations and admin
- Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Desire to take ownership of projects
- Strong interest of finance and trading and a good knowledge of FX 

You must be able to deal with client queries in a dynamic high pressure environment, working out solutions quickly and effectively

Desired

- A good working knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters 
- Knowledge of pricing and dealing and experience working with traders
- Knowledge on how to build strong relationships with traders is essential
