Overview:
We're a full-service digital agency, started by two of the industry's most experienced people. And we're growing fast.
We're looking for a front-end developer with design and project management skills to join our team. You'll have the ability to work independently creating websites and digital solutions for clients.
Working with a senior mentor, you'll be running small – medium projects right through from the initial briefing conversations through implementation, testing and problem solving.
At its core, this role is about understanding client problems and crafting digital solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
Front-end Wordpress Development: HTML5, CSS3 (Sass), Javascript (JQuery) and familiarity with PHP
Strong experience with Wordpress
Design experience with demonstrated attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Optional Skills:
Client trainings
E-commerce experience
Experience with other CMS systems, such as Shopify or Squarespace
Ability to quote projects based on an initial brief
Experience:
We're equally open to candidates who are professionally trained or who are self-taught. It's important to us that you can demonstrate that you're the type of person who has a genuine interest in keeping up to date with new technologies, systems and tools.
Occasionally you will be required to design some or all website elements based on a client brief. The successful candidate will be able to showcase a design portfolio of work that has been completed.
You'll be comfortable working with Wordpress and Content Management Systems as needed. You'll also feel comfortable researching and making recommendations to clients on the most appropriate technology (plugins) to use for their needs.
You'll be a good communicator who is extremely well organised and can work independently and pro-actively with clients directly to help them along the development process. We view experience in this area to be critical to this role.
Often you will be working on more than one project at a time, so you'll be able to multi-task efficiently.
You should have at least 3 years' of recent experience in a similar role either as an independent contractor or at an agency.
