What will you do?
As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that all software released is robust, secure, operates with complete integrity; and meets the needs of the business. You will test the latest web technologies, their core systems, and will be involves with plenty of project based work.
A day in the life:
- Being involved in the test planning and test script development process for business projects, and managing test execution phases
- Assisting in the development of testing and implementation procedures, ensuring all software testing and releases are documented and auditable
- Quality assurance of all software, ensuring it is implemented in a timely manner and meets security, reliability, performance and integrity standards
- Work with the wider IT team and software suppliers to ensure error-free development, controlled testing and implementation of software modifications and enhancements
- Utilising and maintaining test automation suites
- Providing input into static reviews of Software Requirements Specifications, Network and Infrastructure designs
- Monitoring and supporting the implementation of software from the test to production environment
- Maintaining test assets
- Managing and documenting the test environment, ensuring it mirrors the production environment
- Identifying test conditions, creating repeatable test cases/scripts
- Maintaining and managing issues and defects in Jira
Your background:
- A thorough understanding of test processes and techniques
- At least two years of experience in a software testing role
- A solid understanding of Web service testing with associated tools such as SOAP UI, Postman
- Experience testing rich internet applications and the latest web technologies
- Experience testing mobile websites/applications and devices
- Exposure to different methodologies such as Waterfall, V-Model, Agile
- Experience with load and/or test automation tools
- Some programming experience with Java, JavaScript, Python or Groovy desirable
- Experience in a real-time transaction processing environment
