Reporting to the Foundation North CEO, this new role is primarily responsible for contributing to the development of the Pacific strategy and action plan within a Pacific framework, and in conjunction with the Strategy and Innovation Manager, leads the delivery of the Pacific strategy and Pacific action plan.
The role is also responsible for leading strategic collaborative relationships, community and stakeholder engagement and building Pacific partnerships; working with the Strategy & Innovation Unit and the Centre for Social Impact to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of activity, outcomes and impact; developing internal competency and increased cultural responsiveness. Drawing on personal experience and the expertise of others, the role will provide cultural advice to Foundation North and bring a Pacific perspective to the Leadership Group.
As a member of the Leadership Group, the role is charged with delivering the Foundation’s strategy and also with contributing to strategic planning and decision making and the preparation of reporting for the Board and its various committees, in particular the Māori and Pacific Committee.
This is a key role in a modern and innovative organisation, you will bring highly developed experience and effectiveness in: cultural competency; strategic thinking and decision making; leadership and motivation including supporting, enabling, and coaching skills; change facilitation; communication and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders to build and maintain high trust relationships.
