Reporting to the Head of Management Assurance, this opportunity is responsible for first-line operational risk management and compliance activities along with the quality assurance and maintenance of our markets risk profile.
Some of what you'll be doing:
- As part of the Management Assurance team, you'll lead the oversight and delivery of our operational risk and compliance frameworks and policy
- Partnering with risk and control owners, you'll work together to ensure our operational risk profile reflects current risks, identifies key risks, ensuring identified controls are tested, evidenced and recorded
- Ensure that risk and control reviews are up to date and that our results demonstrate effectiveness in line with policy
- You'll provide local monthly reporting and interact at group level
- As an expert in your field, you'll raise awareness, coordinate training and educate the wider BNZ Markets team on operational risk management and compliance
What we're looking for:
- A strong background in a Markets business, preferably international financial institutions
- Experience in operational risk and compliance ideally within a banking environment
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks
- The ability to engage, challenge and influence stakeholders
- The aptitude to flex with the role and our environment, but equally comfortable to perform the essential day to day tasks required in the role
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
