We provide a free and independent dispute resolution service for small business and residential customers who have unresolved complaints about their telephone or internet services in Australia.
Our vision is to deliver an exceptional telecommunications dispute resolution service for consumers, service providers and the Australian community.
The Role
As a Case Officer, you will be responsible for providing an end-to-end complaint handling process, whilst working closely with providers and consumers to assist them in negotiating fair and reasonable outcomes. You will act as a conciliator for more difficult disputes and investigate unresolved cases to reach a view about the most appropriate outcome.
You will manage your own portfolio and act in a professional and efficient way, having regard for the law, good industry practice and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman's jurisdiction, policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful you will have completed a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 12 months experience working in a customer service orientated role. You will naturally be a self starter, capable of working independantly who enjoys interacting with people and making your own decisions. You'll be a good problem solver able to interpet complex information and be comfortable in dealing with conflict.
If you have some experience from a compliance based environment such as legal services, insurance, financial services, utilities or superannuation, this would be useful.
Benefits and Perks
When you become a member of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, you will start with us on an intensive induction and a structured learning program and also have the opportunity to gain a graduate certificate in dispute resolution.
With offices based in Docklands, close to Southern Cross station, you will benefit from a competitive salary, 28 days annual leave, access to subsidised onsite massages, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman's social club, free Employee Assistance Program services and endless nearby coffee shops!
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible and safe work environment.
