What you will be doing
Mine has embarked on an ambitious strategy which will transform key areas of our business and build a strong foundation for the future and deliver exceptional retirement outcomes for members. The Strategy team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Group’s strategy, including Mine Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mine Super.

The role of Manager, Product sits within the Strategy team and is responsible for the management of the suite of products offered by Mine Super (Group). This is a senior role accountable for managing the health and success of the Group’s existing product suite in addition to contributing across a range of strategic initiatives that will help transform our market offering. The role requires a commercially astute individual who is comfortable with identifying and delivering value across superannuation, pension, insurance and financial advice outcomes for our members whilst adhering to the Groups governance and risk management frameworks.

In this role you will be required to perform the following functions:

  • Support the Executive Manager, Product in managing the Group’s suite of products and services across superannuation, pension, insurance and financial advice
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the broader market, competitive environment and regulatory landscape as they relate to the Group. Undertake research and analysis to prepare recommendations for product changes as they relate to the Group’s strategic initiatives
  • Manage product information and key metrics, ensuring timely review of product disclosure materials, executive management reporting, and the timely provision of accurate data to third-parties such as rating agencies and consultants
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing papers for the Approved Products Committee, including investment research and monitoring of product issuers on the Approved Products List (APL)
  • Manage the monthly Product Working Group, including the facilitation and documentation of solution designs and product requirements across regulatory change and strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with the broader Strategy team to plan and prioritise workflow across the strategy portfolio, including the strategy operations, marketing and project teams

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years prior experience in a product, strategy or senior project management function in either superannuation, wealth management, insurance or financial advice.

Qualification profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, law, finance or another relevant field (mandatory)
  • RG146 accredited (desirable).

Essential Experience Profile

  • Prior experience in (or solid understanding of) the financial services compliance framework in areas such as product disclosures, superannuation administration, insurance and/or financial planning
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to cater for different audiences
  • Evidence of strong attention to detail, as well as experience in contributing to discussions at an executive level
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
